Attention: This manual was written for the former OPAL user interface. Some content is no longer up to date! You can still use the information about the course editor and the group management.
You will find the german help for the new user interface at the learning platform OPAL by clicking at the ?-symbol on the upper right side.
This manual was drawn up to introduce the learning-platform OPAL as a working tool. We hope that it will help you and we wish you good luck with your work. In
case you have any questions, any tips or hints referring to the content of this
handbook, as well as your experiences using OPAL, please contact us.
This handbook was originally drawn up and designed by the centre for e-learning at the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/ Görlitz as an introductory guide. We want to thank Kersten Kühne, a qualified engineer, and Thomas Jäger, who holds a master degree in computer science, for letting us use the original version.
Some sections of this version (state June 2010, OPAL v2.5) were adapted for use at the TU Dresden and will be continuously revised and made available online as an eBook at this place. Some up-to-date information is also to be found at the e-learning-blog ellog of the department Digital Teaching and Learning at Medienzentrum under http://elearning.tu-dresden.de/blog.
If you have suggestions for improvement or if you detect mistakes, please let us know: Forum OPAL-Manual.
